Doctor of Veterinary Medicine U.C. Davis, BS Physiology UC Davis

Master Spinning Instructor Madd Dogg Athletics

Fitness training has been a priority in my life since my early thirties when I became interested in triathlon racing. Balancing my daily training with a busy Veterinary profession was a challenge. In order to make the most efficient use of my daily training time, I used a heart rate monitor to identify my optimal HR training zones.  By training more efficiently, I was able to qualify for and complete the Kona Hawaiian Ironman in both 1986 and 1987. I continued competing in triathlons for the next 20 years, retired from my Veterinary practice, and made fitness training my full-time job. In 2000, I was chosen as a Master Spinning Instructor by Madd Dogg Athletics and traveled around the country training cycling instructors.  In 2001, I began coaching local athletes and utilizing metabolic testing to help individuals reach their goals. With my years of coaching and fitness training experience and my degree in physiology, I recently completed my CMES (Certified Medical Exercise Specialist) through the American Council on Exercise and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies. My specialized equipment, the VO2 Master, is the most portable and accurate technology available for metabolic testing.

FITTMETRIX combines fitness testing and coaching for all levels, as well as, providing a bridge between medical specialists and general fitness training. I am available for providing these services to everyone wanting to improve their health and fitness.
